The fact that he approached you and asked you about it and even looked at the code shows that your stuff was definitely not ignored in this process. Stig is a bright and busy guy. He would do anything to make his task easier. CPAN enforces some restrictions regarding naming, and packages that really suck get removed. This is very similar to what PEAR is going to be. There will be some quality control and we will enforce unique naming to cut down on confusion. This is good for the end user and doesn't restrict people from contributing unless their stuff is deemed to not work or be badly named. I think you are going out of your way to look for problems. -Rasmus
