I wrote the patch, so I can try to apply the patch in new versions until it
no longer applies correctly. That's the problem with having to apply
patches every time a new release needs to be installed. I just didn't have
the time and the patience to do it all the time. It would have been more
appropriate to have the patch integrated for once and for good because several
other people were asking for the requested feature.

You got me wrong. My bad experiences are not with PHP, but rather with
Rasmus descrimination.
