It is also clear that there is a general consensus that PEAR proceed as planned, and also that everyone wishes nothing but continued success for your own PHP code repository. There is nothing wrong with either scheme -- may a thousand flowers bloom, all to the long-term benefit of the PHP programming community. Nothing more is to be gained by continuing this thread of discussion an an already *very* busy mail list -- I think it is time to take your further discussions offline in direct mailings to the parties concerned.
