And to add a note... I am also a CF/PHP/SQL developer and I use a text
editor for all of my coding... I'm not sure where you guys come from, but
preconceived notions abound!
By KNOWING more than one platform to develop on, you become a MUCH greater
asset than by swearing by only one! If only to be able to convert between
platforms, knowing PHP/CFML/ASP/whatever is only going to make your job
easier!

I know a few including myself, but I don't understand what you're
getting at there anyway - it's not like 'hand coding' cfml is something
hard to learn. Nowhere near as hard as keeping the machine running that
cold fusion is installed on once it gets some decent traffic, at any
rate...
But back to the hand coding - you just work out what you want to do,
look in the manual to find the tags and functions you need, and start
typing, just like php.
