But to just look in the other direction because an event happened outside php.net will be like "ooh you have been bad here, but no biggie, nothing will happen to you here <little tap on the shoulder>". Is it what you suggest? And again, keeping in mind that these will be extreme cases, it is still important to handle them. And to ignore them has not something I could consider as a good thing.
