Have you seen the "How to document code in practice" pages?
http://pear.php.net/manual/en/developers.contributing.docs.php
That first page has a hyperlink to the CVS repository where there are
templates for peardoc DocBook files:
http://cvs.php.net/cvs.php/peardoc/en/authoring/
[Do note, use this link for now since the link from the web page is messed
up temporrarily due to the CVS web interface upgrade having a hitch which
requires directories to have trailing slashes on them.]
