I know this has been asked before but I think it's worth asking again. Why oh why can't we add user supplied comments to the PEAR manual? The static part of the php manual is fine but most of the time the solution I'm looking for is found in the comments. And gee, let's say I have just spent a few hours figuring out how to get a particular function to work. How hard would it be for me to write a little note and post it to the manual? As opposed to trying to get into some document system? Or trying to figure out whom to mail?Someone needs to write it. At the same time we are in the planning stages for a new pearweb as the old one is not as modular as one would hope. This has made it hard to delegate responsibilities and so new developers can easily break other parts of the system. This has slowed down development. regards, Lukas Smith smith@backendmedia.com _______________________________ BackendMedia www.backendmedia.com berlin@backendmedia.com Linn Zwoch Smith GbR Pariser Str. 44 D-10707 Berlin Tel +49 30 83 22 50 00 Fax +49 30 83 22 50 07
